Despite popular belief, acne is a skin problem which can attack any person at any time in their lives and applies to both genders and all ethnic groups. Women can get it, specifically pregnant women, teenagers, even babies, and yes men as well. Sudden onset adult cystic acne is a problem which many adults must deal with today and can be a rather difficult thing to treat. It's important that you know as much about it as you can if you have cystic acne, because it's not the same kind from when you were a teenager, cystic acne is a very serious condition and must be treated as such.

Even though many people think that there is only one type of acne, there are many. It's important to know about all the different types of acne, especially if you have had a history with skin problems. What treatment is best for you depends almost solely on what type of acne you have. You don't want to waste your time using an acne treatment product that isn't meant for the type of acne you have.

Cystic acne is usually considered to be the worst type of acne among most dermatologists because of how stubborn it can be and also because of the severity of the break outs. People with darker complexions can be terribly impacted because of the nature of cystic acne. It may seem scary but there is hope for treating it. Even though cystic acne can be stubborn and tough to get rid of, there are plenty medications out there to help fight it.

There are some things you should never do like picking at your zits or pimples. When you do this you rub dirt into them and clog the tiny pores on your skin even more, contributing to the worsening of your acne and possibly making your breakouts worse. Also try to wash your face an average of two times of day with a facial scrub which you can get at any drugstore or grocery store in the skin treatment section.
