How To Makeup To Enhance Facial Feature?
The space between the eye and the brow should be proportionate. The ideal brow starts at the inner corner of the eye and follows the orbital bone to the line from the nostril to the end of the bone. Whether your eyebrows are thick or thin, they can be plucked, and shaped with an eyebrow pencil or eyeshadow used with a small angular brush to draw the line. This later method is easy to apply and looks more natural. Select a color which tones in with your hair color and draw in the eyebrows with light feathery strokes.
Start with the base color. These colors are usually light and go all over the eye. This step is especially good for those with deep set eyes or eyes with small areas between the crease and the eyebrow. Use a ½ inch brush to apply the base color. Mature skin types should stick to matte rather than shiny eyeshadow for the base color. For building or puffy eyes, use a dark matte base color so that the puffy part looks less noticeable.
Then you use a neutral dark color to apply on the crease area. Usually this color is chosen to match the color of your outfit. This color helps to outline and define the eyes. For a regular eyes or deep set eyes which have a crease, draw the crease color with the small angular brush or fluff brush. The line should reach just above the crease line, and cover approximately 1/3 of the outer edge of the eye.
The oriental eye may have to create a crease. Draw a line with the small angle brush from the outer edge to the inside of the eye. When the eye is open, this line is just visible. It should not disappear to the back of the eye; this will make the eye look smaller. Crease color is applied with a small fluff brush or sponge applicator. Use the ½ inch blending blush to blend.
Your lid color or highlighter is usually a brighter or lighter color than the crease color. It is applied with the fluff brush. You could end up with one, two or three colors on the lid area. Once the colors are on, blend blend and blend with the blending brush. This is the secret of good makeup application. Generally, the rule for choosing eye colors are dark colors recede, light colors accentuate.
Eye liner helps to enhance and defines the eye. It is a color that should match the crease color or eyeshadow. Or use the eyeshadow itself to line the bottom or the tops of the eyes. If a pencil liner is used, soften the lines with a cotton bud.
The type of liners in the market is the liquid, cake where you need to use liner brush with water, kohl to draw on and blend with Q-tip and shadow powder.
