Love it but concern on some of the ingredients

I used this product and love it. When my cousin told me that some of olay products contains ingredients that are deemed as “cancer causing in animal” and organ toxicity etc…. according to skin deep web site. I google those ingredients and found that four ingredients cyclopentasiloxane(first ingredient), Ethyparaben, propylparaben and methylparaben(actually banned in Europe to be used in skin product) are the bad ingredient. I am now totally torned as I love it on my skin and concerned that it might be the causes for my fribromygia. So, I hope Olay will remove these ingredients and produce some product that are green and non-toxic.

However, I am totally puzzled by the pricing on this 3.4 oz size. How could this possibly be listed as being $69.99 original price with a claim that this company is giving the buyer a 58% discount? A 1.7 oz size (non-fragranced) runs about $17.00 original price. And, I bought this 3.4 oz size from Amazon a few months ago without this outrageous claim of a 58% discount.

While there may be no added fragrance, this product is definitely NOT fragrance free. It has a very chemically odor that is quite strong. Strong enough that my husband could smell it on me about 5 hours after i had first used it. That being said, it did seem to be of some benefit, although i cannot use it due to the smell.

I’ve ordered two Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum. Unfortunately both of the boxes were broken, and one of them was open and some of the cream has been spilled all over the box. Those were intended to be given as a gift and I was very disappointed by the condition I’ve received them. I’ve contacted MedSource Direct customer service by e-mail, however didn’t get any response from them. Hopefully the product itself is OK (it was given as a gift).

This product has been great for me. I use it everyday and can definately see the difference. When I get up in the morning I have puffiness under my eyes, after putting on this serum the puffiness disappears in about 5 minutes and my skin looks radiant. I love it. I am giving it four stars because this serum doesn’t provide enough moisture for my skin (dry to normal). I also tried the Olay perfecting cream, which is even drier. However, one day just by chance I mixed this serum with the Shiseido Benefiance (very rich and oily moisturizer). The mixed lotion becomes magically perfect for my skin. The serum provides the amino-acids complex and other nutrients. The Shiseido keeps enough moisture on the skin. I am so glad about the result – I do this every day now. My skin feels so good and comfortable. If you have the same feelings about this serum, why don’t you give it a try to mix it with your other favorite rich moisturizers.

I’ve been using Borghese/Kirkland face serum for a few years and love it. I decided to try the Regenerist products and purchased the eye serum, face serum and daily moisturizer. I read all of the positive reviews about the face serum but wasn’t expecting it to be any better than the Borghese/Kirkland. I’m pleasantly surprised. It has a similar gel-like consistency but seems to absorb more quickly. For that reason, it feels lighter on my skin. I guess I’m a convert.

I have extremely dry skin and live in a very dry climate. This product is wonderful. My skin feels hydrated and smooth all day. Other products I have used, including some in the Olay product line, had to be re-applied every few hours. I can apply this once in the morning and once at night and my skin is smooth and moist all day long.

I read how this product was equal to some of the much pricier, big brand named products. Always a little doubtful, I decided to try it and held my breath. Not an easy person to please, here is what I concluded. Just a small amount is all one needs. It glides across the face leaving the skin silky to the touch. So certainly this is just another silicone product. Right? Wrong! The magic began to start. I have now used the Regenerist-Olay Regenerating Serum for a year and have received countless compliments on the changes in my skin. At 54 years of age my skin still looks youthful, radiant, and wrinkle free, thanks to Olay’s serum. When I recently visited my dermatologist, she said my skin was “exquisite.” Now how much better a rating can the product or I get than that? But things don’t end there. While it is not meant for using under the eye area, I find it does a great job there too. My skin tends to be very sensitive to products used under my eyes, but this one has never bothered me at all. Instead it has lightened those dark under eye circles as well as diminished the unattractive fine lines I used to have. Even on a day I may forget to use this product, my skin still looks beautiful. One other thing, and this one I have not read in any other review by anyone else on this product. That is, the serum product works wonderfully under my makeup and actually holds it in place ALL day, retaining a fresh look, until I am ready to wash it off at night. This is a totally new experience for me. It is wonderful! Since using The Daily Regenerating Serum I have since learned that some other companies make serums designed just for holding makeup in place, yet at a much steeper price. This one product provides multiple functions. So, when some people complain that the Regenerist products are a bit pricey, you really need to consider all you are getting for the money. Disappointing

I had high hopes for this product, but I have to be honest and say that I cannot notice any difference in the way my skin looks in the 2 weeks I have been using it. People tell me I have “good skin” to begin with, however I do have lines around my eyes and on my forehead. The only positive difference that I have noticed is that my normally dry skin is less dry. The worst thing is that this product has actually caused me to break out! I can’t remember when, if ever, I had pimples on my cheeks. I am going to have to stop using this and continue my search for a good moisturizer. Oh well.

This serum worked as it was supposed to. Only thing is I noticed that I was getting pimples. I have been lucky enough not to have had acne; just the occasional pimple every now and again.

Once I started using this serum though, I noticed that I was getting several pimples – almost every day. The only thing I had changed in my regimen was the serum so I conducted my own (kinda) control experiment. I stopped using the serum and went back to my regular moisturiser. No pimples. Started using it again, pimples.

I’ve stopped again and decided to give it 2.5 stars because while I was using it, it did make my skin feel great. I just didn’t think the “pimple trade-off” was worth it.

Others may not have the same problem.

It’s Fading My Red Spots!

This product is wonderful! Based on Paul Begoun’s (the “Cosmetic Cop”) review, I bought this from a local grocery store and started using it during the day. I noticed much smoother skin right away. But what surprised me most was that after a week, some prominent red spots on my face from old acne and where my dermatologist removed a mole 3-4 months ago began fading away quickly! At first, I didn’t know why this was happening until I researched the ingredients. Olay’s Daily Regenerating Serum has niacinamide which has been known to reduce hyperpigmentation. This result was so unexpected but very welcome! While it has only been a week, I am excited and somewhat curious to see if my continued use of this will help all the hyperpigmentation on my skin, including my freckles.

Makes the skin so soft it’s unreal

I’m 27 years old and male. I have no idea if this helps me look “younger.” In fact i’ve used it over the course of a couple months and have noticed no changes in my skin’s appearance or the fine lines on my face.

But it does make my skin as soft as a baby. It’s really incredible how soft my skin becomes, it’s great for kissing a new person for the first time or even long term relationships. Everyone who has touched my face since i’ve begun using this product has commented on how soft my skin is.

I like it because it makes my skin soft and for that i give it 5 stars, and it’s pretty inexpensive which is nice.

I have a PhD study wrinkle, and a few from life in general..but this product has brought new life to my skin and subtracted a few years. Maybe you won’t believe me, but within 3 days I noticed a change in my skin. Not only was my skin radiant and even..but my PhD wrinkle is gone!@! I am so pleased with this product that I want to publicly send my praises.

While some might not like the price, you can not beat it when compared with the beauty counter prices. Also my advice is to purchase this product at the various sales among your drugstores. The best deal by far is buy one, get one half off.

Have always heard good things about olay and had the night cream and eye serum that i would use now and then. I decided that at 35 it was time to pay more attention to preserving my skin and decided to go with olay. This serum was great for my skin, i used it day and night putting a sunscreen over it in the days. My face was the best it has looked in years….i saw noticeable reduction in the size of pores and the cream was perfect as a moisturizer for me and not over oily (i had been searching for a good moisturizer for a while)….pretty much my only complaint is that it finished way to soon….i am off to buy me another bottle now!

If I had to choose only one product to take care of my face for the rest of my life, it would be this serum.

I am a devotee to this serum, it does wonders for my skin. I’ve always been complimented on my skin, but the lack of sleep and long work days haven’t done it any good. This serum is a truly regenerating serum. I put it on every morning before any makeup and the results are visible. When I stop using it my skin becomes less smooth and does not glow.

I also tried the Olay ProX range but it is a little too much for me right now being in my 30s. This fragrance free serum is just the perfect thing. I have combination skin and it works well for me. Sometimes I don’t get it as it is pretty pricey but I can tell the difference in my skin when I am using this serum so I caved in and signed up for a subscription on Amazon. The one with the SPF factor is not as good as this one, nor the one with “Touch of Sun” tanning. This is THE best, and gentlest anti-aging product I’ve found till date.

The greatest compliment I can give is that if I had to choose one face moisturizer for the rest of my life it would be the regenerist.

Have been using this for over a year and really notice a difference, particularly around my eyes. I use a small pea-size dab on my eyes, around my mouth, forehead, and then rub the rest on my cheeks. For the dry and cold winters, I use this, in combination with Gold Bond Ultimate lotion. The Gold Bond is thick, so again, a pea-size dab, which I dilute by wetting my hands before rubbing it and applying it. Because both the Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum and the Gold Bond Ultimate lotion are glycerin-based, they don’t clog your pores, or make your face oily. I found the 1.7 oz bottle of Olay Regenerist will last me almost 3 months or more when I use it in this fashion. Great product!

Long-lasting moisturization

I live in a very dry area and this is the only product which I can put on in the morning and never need to re-apply to make my skin supple. With that said, I was disappointed when I found out that its health hazard level is 6 out of 10.

Regenerist-Olay Daily Regenerating Serum, 3.4oz (Bonus Size)

I am a 40 year old mother of 3, and I’ve been using this product since receiving a free sample in the mail when the product was introduced several years ago. I have been using it faithfully 2x per day ever since… and I have NO wrinkles…. I’ve been taking my 13 year old son to the same restaurant each week for several months, and on my last visit the hostess said, “I’ve been meaning to ask you, is he your brother or your son. You look so young.” I’ve been using regular Oil of Olay or Generic version of it for as long as I can remember – it’s the only sunscreen I can use on my face without an allergic reaction. I think my nice complexion is attributable to my daily regimen, including these Olay products. They’re wonderful!!

I gave this a try but unfortunately I discontinued using it because i didn’t think i can afford buying this again. I mean for what you pay for the quantity is soooo small. That said, i do love the this little thing. I have acne prone skin and it felt just great on the skin. It gave my skin a glowing look and it just glides so beautifully on the face. If the price was cheaper or the quantity was increased this would have been perfect!

Sensitive skin? Read this!

I am 39 years old and have very sensitive skin, and because of that I had been using fragrance-free products by Clinique. I always thought I looked pretty young until I saw a picture of myself at 29. My skin was so much better looking! After doing some research I decided to give this a try based upon the favorable reviews, low cost and the fact that it’s fragrance free. (Perfumed lotions make me sneeze).

After one use, I noticed a few things. My skin did tingle slightly for a couple of hours, but it wasn’t painful; just mildly annoying. But there was no rash or irritation. My cheeks looked a bit red, however it appeared more like a natural tint. The second thing I noticed is that my skin almost immediately looked better! I know that sounds crazy. I also didn’t need to put on any blush because of the tint I mentioned. As the day wore on, the tingling went away. (I also started using Neutrogena Light Night Cream for a moisturizer- it’s fragrance-free, and doesn’t have sunscreen which I don’t need every day.)

I applied it the next morning again and noticed the same things. I decided to try it every other day and have to say I REALLY notice a difference! My skin looks almost as good as my pic from ten years ago.

I think the minor discomfort I mentioned is due to my sensitivity to most products, but because I am so pleased with the results I’m sticking with it.

Update: After using this for a week I no longer have any sensitivity and my skin is incredibly soft and luminous! I would change this to five stars but I am unable to edit that portion.

Olay’s regenerist serum is just right for the the woman who does not need a heavy moisturizer. This is light serum, easily absorbed. It’s wonderful under makeup and there is no oily feel.

I have used it for five years and I always get compliments on my skin! I’m in my 50′s and I have a few fine lines at the outer corners of my eyes. Genetics or Olay serum? I have no idea, but just in case I’ll keep using it!

This cream is nice, I will keep using it because I have very dry skin, and a little bit goes a very long way. I was hesitant to spend even this much on a skin cream, until I saw that Consumer’s Report in 2007 rated this the best American skin cream that they tested. Before, I would just grab whatever was on sale.

After the first few weeks of using Regenerist, I could tell my skin was softer and the depth of the wrinkles around the eyes and forehead diminished.

I only use it once a day (after my evening shower). Great stuff!

Update (4/11/07): I visited the dermatologist today for a skin cancer check. I mentioned that I was using this skin cream. He said it is the best.

Great for fine lines and overall skin appearance

After one month of daily use, here is my verdict: This stuff works. It’s not magic, it’s not a miracle, it doesn’t transform every wrinkle and age spot. But it makes your skin look BETTER than before, which is all we can really hope for, isn’t it?

I’ve noticed a somewhat dramatic change in the fine lines around my eyes (no, I don’t use a separate eye cream). They are smoother and much less noticeable. The few age spots I’ve developed seem to be lighter. Overall, looking at my face in the mirror now, I sometimes have to do a double-take because my skin looks so much better and brighter. The permanent dark circles under my eyes are even lighter.

I have acne prone skin and I was nervous about using a new moisturizer, but quickly found that my skin actually CLEARED UP while using this product. Likely, it was due to my regimented focus on skin care in general, but this did NOT contribute to any breakouts at all.

This is one product I can see myself using for a very long time.

I had originally been sent a sample of this serum through the mail. I used it one night without thinking it would do much– I was wrong. I am 23 and I am starting to notice my skin look a little dry, not quite as tight, and just not what it used to. This made my skin feel so soft and smooth and tight in the morning. I will definitely continue to use this–hopefully this will prevent my aging as I go into my late 20s and 30s. I’m not sure how this works for older ladies– hopefully you can read the other reviews for that. This is pretty reasonably priced and it lasts a good time for me.

WEIGHTLESS SERUM

I have acne-prone skin…used proactive for 6 yrs, which really dried out my skin…so went to a facialist and got treatment for over a year using DR. Skin products (which is pretty awesome but pricey and available only thru facialist). My skin tends to break out in hives (little bumps) when I use most products…must be really sensitive…but when i tried Olay Regenerist Serum, it is the only thing that works for my skin. The serum seems heavy on my hand, but once i apply on my face, it feels like i put nothing on my face, which is great! I really do recommend this product! i own the olay regenerist eye cream, but not sure if it does what it says. I also bought the olay regenerist night cream but it’s way too heavy…i gave it to my mom. Bought the olay regenerist face cleanser, but after using it for a couple of days, i got two BIG pimples on my face…not good! One thing I really like about this serum is that when i get a pimple and pop it, then apply the serum and go to sleep, it’s kinda amazing to see the pimple diminish in its color and size. I never thought a moisturizer (esp. not a anti-acne moisturizer) do that.

I thought I knew everything about skin care until I used Regenerist. An avid user of Retin-A for years, I have pretty good skin and at 50 still look around 35. I tried Regenerist because Retin-A does have side effects and while it keeps skin firm and clear, the process can be a bit harsh – it dehydrates severely and though skin is benefitted, it doesn’t always look its best in the process – if you get my drift. So I thought I’d use Retin-A at night and Regenerist under sunscreen by day. Well.

The effect of the Regenerist serum, after a couple of days of use, was this. I had one line on my forehead. A deepish one. It is gone. I was developing fine lines around my eyes (bought the eye cream, could not resist). They are gone. I had a sunken, tired look (I work very, very hard). Now no one believes I need a break! My skin looks beautiful. I will use Retin A again. I think using different products that are proven to work is a good idea, but I will always, always, always use Regenerist as well.

Same product like in drug store. Unused and in prefect condition. Olay regenerist is such a great product for my skin. I can’t believe that they sell it for such a great price, almost like wholesale. I was iffy about buying it but once I got it, wow, what a deal on something so great!!! It does nothing for my wrinkles but my skin feels a ton better and it looks a lot younger, too. I tend to break out on these type of moisturizing wrinkle cream, but my skin loves it. Definitely I will buy more for my sisters and mother.

I am 32 and have had severe scarring acne since my early 20′s. I tried this product and and have noticed a definate improvement in smoothing out the scars that I have from previous outbreaks. I will say that I have an olive complexion and there is a reddish tone to my skin now. It isn’t severe but may be more noticeable with lighter skin tones. Also there is a slight tingling sensation that I get after using this product. This may be because I used Rentina for a while to help my acne outbreaks. All in all this product works well for me. I would recommend it with caution to others just because of the slight reddening I saw in my skin tone.

Magic in a bottle

This serum is so different. It is better than all the moisturizers i’ve used put together! I don’t seem to have great success with a lot of products and i had begun to give up hope anything would work for me – luckily i still had it in me (and the cash) to not give up.

I suddenly have allergies and i am constantly blowing my nose so my nostrils are drying out but this serum really helps. When i apply it my skin feels so soft. I can only imagine how soft it will get when i use longer.

I use olay’s microdermabrasion kit after it i apply this serum – i am SO impressed.

I have sensitive skin that often flares up from makeup and other moisturizers but my skin has reacted beautifully to Olays products. The price is a bit steep (i am a college student) but so worth it. Instead of spending money on inferior products, splurge and buy this. It is worth every penny.

I have used this product for about a month and my skin feels much smoother. I wash my face minimally now only using apricot scrub in the shower. My face feels good but when i apply this serum, it feels even better. I have reduced breakouts and my new smooth skin that has encouraged me to wear makeup regularly again. Before this stuff, i didn’t wear more than some loose powder occasionally. Now i stepped it up wearing tinted moisturizer and powder regularly and my skin still looks smooth. I love touching my skin and i feel much more confident in the condition of my skin.

Thank you Olay! I will be using Olay for the rest of my life. Considering i am 19 – that’s a long time!

This is a great product. I have been using it since it came out–a friend told me about it, and generously gave me the 3.4oz size, which I’m only able to find on Amazon! I’ve also bought the 1.7oz size. I definitely do see a difference in the appearance, or shall I say LACK OF FINE LINES around my eye area. I put this product where I have the potential to get creases or lines, including laugh lines. It is GREAT! I feel like I have found the “Fountain of Youth”. I bought four products from this line–the Regenerating Lotion with UV, Daily Regenerating Serum, Night Recovery Moisturizing, and the Eye Serum. After two weeks of use, I’m pretty pleased. I’m skeptical by nature, and I wonder if anyone notices the change produced by skin products like these other than the user. But, I think this stuff does make the skin around my eyes look smoother and lighter, and it certainly moisturizes without being greasy. I have pretty sensitive skin, and I haven’t had any redness or irritation, and certainly no pimples. I also don’t notice any scent. I find eye creams especially irritating (Clinique was AWFUL for me!) but the eye serum is very soothing. I’m pleased with the results and certainly the price!

I read the detailed report on wrinkle creams done by Consumer Reports. They tested out all the top wrinkle creams out there. The result: None produced significant results, but Olay Regenerist was the best. If you have fine lines and unevenness due to dry skin, then this will help, no doubt, BUT it will not undo your wrinkles. It’s a great moisturizer, but I am concerned about all the synthetic chemical ingredients in this product. After using this product, I’m switching over to something safer, more natural.

I have tried so many products to just be totally disappointed. But this one does work. The lines under my eys are my problem area and this has helped to make them much less noticeable..

Manufactures take note– I am tired of the false claims and when I find something that actually works I will buy it. Most I have tried before do not work and should not be advertised as such.

I started using this in combination with their night recovery cream. I couldn’t be happier. I look at least five years younger and it has taken away that tired, drawn look. My wrinkles are much less noticable. More importantly, as I have tried tons of products, it has reduced my under eye circles. This is no small feat. I have super dark blue, very hollow/sunken-in circles that, even with cover up, are still dark and shadowed because they are sunk in. This has plumped up the skin below my eyes, and, in addition to getting rid of much of the wrinkling, it has made it easier to put cover-up on the remaining discoloration, as it has taken away at least half of the darkness from shadowing and lightened the blue coloring. Really a big difference in only a week of using it. I highly recommend this!

Seeing results after 2 weeks

Me and my skin: Currently 34 years old, 2 pregnancies, freckles, never used skin creams before, Asian but with probably paler skin than norm.

I’ve been using the regenerist system (this for daytime, the night cream for evenings, plus the eye-lifting serum) for 2 weeks, and last night my husband agreed… “Your skin looks… something. Definitely better.” I can’t put my finger on what is better looking about it either but it is “definitely better”. My cheeks seems smoother, the skin tone seems more even, and maybe it’s my imagination, but my freckles even seem lighter. The latter might not be a product of my imagination, because the spf 15 might be working (I never wear any sort of sunscreen otherwise, so going from spf 0 to spf 15 may have made a huge difference). My skin is definitely softer to the touch, and it just *feels* good, even in the current frigid weather we are experiencing.

Do take what I write with a grain of salt. I’ve never been very good about taking care of my skin; I don’t think I’ve ever been consistent with a particular skin care product for more than a week. My skin may have improved just as dramatically with a much more inexpensive system, or may improve even more dramatically with a more expensive system. After I finish this bottle, I’ll try something a little more expensive and we shall see.

Noticed a difference immediately

The first thing I noticed about this moisturizer is how smoothly my foundation went on after using it. (I used to feel as if my moisturizer and face makeup were too much for my 48 year old face.) I’m looking forward to the possible fading of age spots in the future with continued use.

The price is better than Wal-Mart’s if you subscribe and it really is a convenience. If you run low before you’re due for a shipment you can adjust the delivery. I also subscribed to the eye cream and night cream.

Nice Product – a Bit Greasy

The Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum is sort of a mixed-use cream. On one hand, it’s not the super-expensive use-by-the-drop eye cream that is typically sold in the tiniest bottle on the planet. On the other hand, it’s not a more casual face cream that you would slather on your entire face, at least not at the prices they ask for it. This falls somewhere in the middle. It’s not meant for near-eye use – Olay has a Regenerist eye lifting serum for that task. Rather, this regenerating serum is meant to be used at other wrinkle spots that don’t require the super-special eye cream. Eye skin tissue is VERY delicate – where the wrinkles on your forehead and mouth are not quite so delicate.

I use the fragrance free variety, because I don’t want anything that near to my nose to be putting off aromas all day long. It is indeed fragrance free, which is nice. I use the serum on my forehead, and under my chin. Those are where, for me, I need the most help keeping my skin in its best shape.

The price is of course a down side, but again it’s meant for special care; it’s not meant to be a full body lotion. You use this where your skin is in need of some TLC and attention. However, having said that, I find that it’s just a little too greasy for me. Where the eye serum is wonderfully light and goes great with the delicate eye skin, this serum should have been slightly more thick but with the same grease-free feeling. Instead, I find the greasiness to be uncomfortable on my face. It makes me feel like I need to go wash my face to get the “slime” off. I therefore only use this at night, when I fall asleep soon afterwards and let the serum nourish my skin until I wake up again.

Well recommended, although I’ll keep testing lotions in this price range to see if I find something else of similar quality but with a less greasy feel to it.

I was really skeptical about purchasing this item coz i’ve always used very high priced department store brands. This one i’ll have to say is almost similar to the Lamer serum. I’ve been using it for only 2 weeks now and there’s noticable difference in the glow of my skin. I use it aloing with the regenerist daily moisturizer with spf. This product does a great job and i guess i’ll never be looking back at the big brands.

This serum does make my face feel a little tighter and firmer during the day. It is not at all greasy or shiny. I put it on in the morning before I apply makeup. I can’t tell that it makes a difference in the way my face looks, but it may make my skin look slightly firmer. I don’t think any lotion or serum will make my wrinkles disappear. I put a different night cream on my face at night, as this serum doesn’t feel especially moisturizing. It does feel good under makeup during the day though.

I am 43…and I have to admit that I have never tried all the skin care products out there. I guess I was never ‘into’ thinking about my appearence much to consider I needed to take any time to care for it. I rarely wear make-up either, but only now have decided that maybe it’s time to do something with the lines, wrinkles dullness in my complextion.

I myself have normal skin type. No oily spots or drying in certain places….but as I said…my skins looked dull. I bought this based on reviews, as well as other products in the ‘Regenerist’ line and I have to tell you…not only do I love the way it feels after using it…but love the glow it gives my skin. The pink glow you ladies have been talking about is cell regeneration I believe. If you read on the back of this bottle it says it doubles skins surface cells. I believe this is why the skin has a pink appearence after using it. I think I look younger already since using it..or at least well rested and refreshed with a healthier glow to my skin that I have not had in a very long time. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to give their skin a pep! I will continue to buy this product as well as their others in this line.

By the way…this is my husbands account…:-) Didn’t want you to think a man wrote this.

My skin is softer and more supple. It has reduced the appearance of lines and improved the texture of my skin, making it softer and younger looking. I know most people who use this product are women, but I must say that I am a 30 year old male that has been using this product now for about three weeks. My skin is noticeably smoother and more even-toned. I don’t really have wrinkles to speak of, but I do notice a wonderful glow and softness to my skin that I have never had before. Additionally, the area around my eyes seems more toned and firm. I’ve tried many products and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised to find that Olay (one of the cheaper among the items I have tried) worked most effectively (and without irritating my VERY sensitive skin).

The 1st thing I liked about the product was the ease of getting it out of the bottle. Slight pressure on the top of the spout releases just a small amount. I have been using it 2X a day, morning & night. There seems to be a definite difference in the texture of my skin. Absolutely, much softer.

Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum, Concentrated Amino-Peptide Complex, Fragrance Free – 1.7 fl oz is, in my opinion, Olay’s finest product to date.

First, it’s fragrance-free. Men can use it too.

It contains ingredients that help maintain the integrity of the epidermis in a silicone base. It can be used under sunscreen or alone at night. It can be used under makeup. In fact, because of the silicones used, it’s a bit like a primer.

This serum is suitable for all skin types, though if you have dry skin, you may want to apply moisturizer over it. It’s non-irritating and non-sensitizing.

It contains antioxidants, peptides, and niacinamide. Olay touts niacinamide as being a sort of miracle ingredient. The advertising for skin care products drives me a bit crazy, because they can only deliver so much. Olay’s claims aside, I am 100% crazy about this product. My skin really does look better – and no one is paying me to say that.

I do not buy the Regenerist Eye. I use this for my eye area. Regenerist Eye has a slightly different texture, but otherwise it’s the same product at a higher price.

The fragrance-free version of this product is definitely worth trying, regardless of your age or skin type.

great for dry skin

i’m 25 and have been using this product almost every morning for 2 years now. i used to have horribly dry skin and random break-outs. after about 2 months, my skin had a consistent tone, was well moisturized, and i haven’t had a single break out! i love this stuff. i’ve recommended it to family and friends, all of whom have had similar experiences. they’re all people with dry to medium skin so i can’t vouch for how well this product will work if you have very oily skin.

Makes a Great Primer

I was using Bare Escentuals Prime Time, but at $21 for one ounce, it just was too pricey, and it did not last very long. I switched to this with almost twice the amount of product, and it serves the same purpose and does it well. I have sensitive skin and I have had absolutely no problems in using this. One doesn’t need much. And it lasts a long time. UPDATE: After using this for almost 5 months, my face started getting red spots. I discontinued use and the spots disappeared. I’ve gone back to Prime Time for an under makeup moisturizer until I can find something else with no adverse effects.

Nothing else

For me there is nothing else I’d put on my face. I wear it under makeup or with no makeup at all, all year round. Gives my skin a velvety, silky feel. Allows makeup to apply more smoothly and evenly. Cost-effective, especially compared to other products like this. A little goes a long way, so the bottle will last for quite a while. The only drawback for me is that Olay still uses animal testing for their products, which is unnecessary and and antiquated with our current knowledge of and technologies for cosmetic ingredients.

MOISTURE LOTION WITH UV PROTECTION ATER THE SERUM, BUT AFTER CONTINUAL USE, IT SEEMED TO IRRITATE MY SKIN. I WENT SOLO WITH THE SERUM ONLY, UNTIL SUMMER WHEN I NEEDED SPF20 FOR A DAY OUT. OUT OF NECESSITY, I USED THE SAME CREAM USED ON CHILD ON ME AND FOUND IT TO WORK VERY WELL WITH THE OLAY SERUM. THIS BABY MAGIC IS SUN, WIND, PABA, AND FRAGRANCE FREE.

Olay has always been a name I trust since I first tried the face cream years ago to soothe a nasty sunburn. The serum is just right for my sensitive combination skin. It makes it feel smooth and look sensational. My daughter told me I look 25, about her age; and a salesperson thought I looked like a much younger movie star she pointed out in the magazine I was buying. (I’m 58, by the way!) I’m skeptical about skin care products because I never see a difference, but I tried the Regenerist line this week and I literally saw results OVERNIGHT! I used the serum last night and today the lines on my forehead have already all but disappeared. My skin is soft, non-oily, and my pores even seem smaller. Awesome product!

My wife tells me that this product “smoothed out” my fine facial wrinkles, which I have also noticed, but not much beyond that. Individual results may vary. That being said, it is by no means a wrinkle eliminator and until such a product appears on the market we should all, in my humble opinion, accept the inevitable.

I started using this product a few weeks ago, having ordered it because of the good reviews from others. I was not disappointed. It is not greasy, heavy, or gooey at all. It is like I do not even have anything on – I do not even wear foundation because I have not been able to find anything light enough that does not feel like spackle.

This product does what it promises, and in a very comfortable way. I did not even have the redness that some other reviews mention. I will be 49 years old in a couple of weeks… and while I was out speaking to an acquainance the other day, she thought I was in my low to middle 30′s. I love it!

I’ve tried this product again and again (i do have a whole bottle after all) and without fail, every time it makes me break out or gives me a rash (little red raised bumps in the area that it was applied). I have tried many other products over the years and such a strong reaction is quite uncommon for me.

I don’t have very sensitive skin (but i am quite fair), and I have tried this product in several different ways and different areas of my skin, however I always seem to have some reaction (it seems to me that if you break out at all from even the best sunscreen, this stuff will for sure lead to breakouts).

This particular product seems to either work for people or not, if your skin is even slightly sensitive it might react unpleasantly.
