Why Not Five Stars? It Deserves Fives Stars….but
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This 14-day product is amazing. It is well worth the time spent applying the product, which is minimal, as you will see your facial skin come alive. Your face will jump back through an “Oil of Olay portal” in time…I guess is what happens. And it does happen. Fourteen days to turn back time and see that you whom you remember, but thought that she was gone. So, why four-stars and not five? Oil of Olay, and, the entire facial and body care stuff providers need to remember that men use their products substantially more so now. And so, they need to more aware of the dislikes of men…like, scent, absorption, simplicity, and a version of the products in less feminine bottles. I’m sorry, but I just cannot get past the pretty, dainty bottles. Love a product line or not, I simply will not fill my bathroom with pretty pink bottles. That simple!
Olay Olay!
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
At first I thought the packaging was a little excessive. Did every days treatment have to come in it’s own dispenser? Obviously the developers at Olay Definity know more than I do, because the tubes contained 2-3 times as much moisturizer as I would normally use. Both types of tubes were pleasant enough. The mask, however, could use improvement. I felt like I could have soaked a paper towel in moisturizer, cut a few holes in it, and slapped it onto my face. The product was pretty decent. I didn’t have high expectations for 14 days, but I would say there was some improvement in the condition of my skin, not vast, but some.
Good moisturizing but not for sensitive skin
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Well, I was glad to try this product because winter tends to be harsh for my sensitive skin, and just about every moisturizer I try causes my skin to break out, noncomedogenic or not. I just have sensitive skin.
This moisturizing treatment lasts fourteen days and consists of a week of detoxifying, six days of intense moisturizing, and a finishing face mask on the last day.
I got through most of the program, but I had to stop a few days shy of the fourteen days as my face, predictably, broke out rather severely. Continuing the entire fourteen days was simply not an option.
The reason I’m giving this product four stars anyway is because not everyone has such sensitive skin as I, and the moisturizing effects may compel an individual with less sensitive skin to go ahead and try it anyway. Moreover, my skin certainly is no longer peeling as it was when I commenced use of the product. So while my use of this was cut short by the breakout, I can tell you what else I experienced while using it.
For the first week, I noticed that my terribly dry skin did stop peeling. In fact, the product caused my skin to produce moisture on its own. I also noticed my skin was firmer, but I did not notice a change in the overall appearance. The quality and appearance remained pretty much the same, except for a temporary, slight reduction in the appearance of new, winter-related fine lines. By a.m. my face appears at it usually does. Would I notice a difference after completing the full fourteen days? I’m not sure, as it seems I would notice more than I did at this point and I’m not far from completing the treatment. But this is an educated guess. Your experience may be different.
The second week is deep moisturizing, and again the product does that but without significant change in overall appearance.
The product is reasonably priced when compared to other treatments available.
The scent is pleasing: crisp and very light.
The packaging is convenient with single-use plastic tubes that are easy to open (and a packet for the face mask). Great for tossing into a purse or suitcase.
I would just love a product that people with incredibly sensitive skin can use.
No Botox for me after using this Olay Definity Skin Rehab
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Actually, no Botox for me before using it either.
I took the online skin survey at Olay.com because I was interested in seeing what was recommended. I have sun damaged precancerous skin and my face and eyes are extremely sensitive and often dry. I usually use Cetaphil cleanser, Kiehl’s Cucumber Tonic, Patricia Wexler or Kiehl’s Serum and Kiehl’s moisturizers, always with SPF during daylight hours. At night, I tend to not apply a thing unless I’m using the Renova, Aveta or Aldara regimens periodically prescribed by my dermatologist. The survey was very interesting with the outcome recommending the Definity product line. I highly recommend the online survey if only to think about your current skin care program.
I decided to give the Olay Definity 14 day skin rehabilitation program a try to “counteract past skin stresses to diminish discoloration PLUS wrinkles in just 14 days”. After completing the entire program, my findings are as follows:
Made in China of mostly synthetic ingredients which are found in most cosmetics with nothing extraordinary included.
None of the three phases had an offensive smell.
Consistency was between lotion and cream with much more than needed in each individual tube.
Neither my eyes nor skin were irritated.
All three phases felt nice on the face and didn’t awaken me from sleep.
My dog relieved herself on the remote control after I touched it with the product of Phase 1 still on my fingers. She’d never done this before and I washed my hands real well each night thereafter after application of the lotions with no repeat, thank goodness.
On day 9, a stranger asked if I was the mother of my friend who is two years younger than I. I’m hoping the lady’s eyesight was to blame since she was around 90 years old and again, this was a first.
Last night, I was distracted and a couple minutes passed before I put the last tube of Phase 2 on my face and rubbed it in. Gobs of it rolled of my face in a creepy way like Elmer’s Glue when you let it partially dry and rub it into balls. Happy it was the final night of Phase 2.
Cloth mask did nothing for me other than exacerbate my sense of claustrophobia and occupy the space on the rear of the wasteful tube holder until night 14.
My skin doesn’t look 14 days older but it doesn’t really look improved either.
Holder does not fit the pens like I hoped it would because I really want to find a use for it rather than dispose of a perfectly good plastic object which had a shelf life of 14 days. Doesn’t fit lipsticks either or little sample cosmetic tubes or crayons or anything else I’ve tried.
In summary, this system was rather benign for me and my skin. I will, however, try the Definity moisturizer if it is not made in China and doesn’t have excessive packaging. For me, the dermatologist’s recommendations definitely work better for improving the condition of my skin. I have to give this a rating dead center, at 3 stars.
Worked a Treat for Me
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Three days in to the Phase 1 of the Definity treatment, my skin had gone from ordinary to glowing! I was very impressed that the affects could be seen so quickly. Not only was my skin glowing, but it was incredibly soft to the touch. As I continued on with Phase 1 (Detoxifying phase for the first seven nights), my skin continued to be soft and clear.
Phase 2 (Deep Recovery phase for the next seven nights) brought more of the same, soft skin and glowing appearance, but I also noticed that my skin tone was becoming uniform. The discolorations were fading and I was over the top with joy. These little tubes really work! (I should add that while the tubes are rather small, there is enough lotion to liberally apply on the face and neck.)
Phase 3 (Reviving phase) is a one time face mask. It claims to have five times the conditions of typical lotion applications and I believe it. After taking off the mask, I was pleasantly surprised that my skin was now even more luminous than it had been just days before in Phase 2. After completing the process, I am over the moon with the results. I would recommend this product to family and friends in a heart beat. Thank you Olay!
Boring!
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Olay Definity 14 Day Skin Rehab consists of 7 ampoules of “detoxifying” treatment, 6 ampoules and 1 mask of “rehabilitating” treatment. The packaging is excellent – airtight and opaque, which preserves the integrity of the anti-oxidant ingredients. Otherwise, there is very little about this product that is special.
The first phase contains salicylic acid (BHA) and vitamin E. The second phase includes niacinamide and acetyl glucosamine. The mask is pretty much the same as the second phase, but contains a greater amount of humectant ingredients. I was unable to determine if the salicylic acid product is an effective formulation. It should be 1-2% and with a pH of 3-4. I don’t know the percentage, and don’t have a pH test kit.
The products also contain mica and titanium dioxide, which leave a nice glow to the skin, but that is only a cosmetic affect.
I had no adverse effects from this product. I use BHA products because they are good exfoliators and also help keep blackheads under control. If you like the concept of this product, you can maintain an everyday protocol of exfoliation plus niacinamide by using Clearasil Acne Fighting Cleansing Wipes 32 wipes or Neutrogena Acne Stress Control, 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Treatment, 2-Ounce Packages (Pack of 3) (keep both of these products away from the eye area), plus Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum, Concentrated Amino-Peptide Complex, Fragrance Free – 1.7 fl oz, or Olay Regenerist Regenerating Lotion with UV protection. Packaging May Vary, -2.5 fl oz for daytime. Please note that both AHA and BHA can cause temporary skin irritation. You may wish to start using these types of products every other day.
So far so good – I’m impressed.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I’m still working on the 14 day program and I have to say that I am actually noticing a change in the appearance of my skin. I don’t know that it will last, but I’m noticing that the fine little lines are not there (or are at least not as noticeable.
I’m curious what this product will cost retail and if it will produce long term results. So far so good though.
Didn’t See a Change in Skin Except for the Pimples
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Olay as introduced their Olay Definity 14-Day Skin Rehabilitation advertising ” a total anti-aging skin immersion that detoxifies, recovers, and revives skin’s appearance in just 14 days”.
The Claim:
The 14-Day system works in three phases: phase 1, detoxify; phase 2, deep recovery; phase 3, revive.
The first phase is 7 tubes that are specially formulated to ignite skin’s exfoliation, aiding skin’s natural detoxification.
The second phase is 6 more tubes that contain Olay’s most potent formulation of Glucosamine Complex and hydrate to help skin’s natural recovery from the appearance of past skin stresses.
The third phase is a reviving mask saturated with 5x the conditioners of a typical lotion application to give skin a boost of rehabilitating moisture and complete your treatment.
The Directions:
Use nightly replacing your current nighttime moisturizer.
Nights 1-13: Use one tube of the intensive treatment each consecutive night.
Night 14: Use mask for at least 15 minutes or longer.
Use this rehabilitating treatment at least once every three months.
My 14-Day Experience:
The phase 1 lotion has a light, pleasant scent with a powdery, almost gritty feel. It made my skin feel drier and broke my skin out with little pimples. I think that’s the detoxification process, it is clearing out the pores.
The phase 2 lotion is more like a traditional lotion. It wasn’t gritty nor did it break my face out.
Phase 3 is the mask, it is heavily saturated with moisturizers. It clings to your face from the wetness. Afterwards my face felt stiff and sticky.
The tubes come in a plastic container with slots that hold the tubes and a clip that clips on the back to hold the mask. The packaging is very nice and makes it easy to keep up with your nighttime routine with everything organized and easy to reach and see.
Each tube contains a lot of moisturizer, at least double what I would ever use if I was just using out of a bottle.
The Results:
I cannot really say that I had a visible improvement in my skin. I was pretty aggravated with the product breaking my face out. I don’t usually don’t have breakouts so having a few pimples leftover after the 14 days with no other improvements visible was not what I was expecting.
Let me say, I usually love Olay products. I really like the Regenerist line but I will not be purchasing the Olay Definity Rehabilitation kit in the future.
Definity = good, this product = average.
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I used Olay’s Regenerist line for quite a while – most of the winter months of 2007-08 and the spring thereafter. Then I went off it for a while, during which time I experimented with other ($$$) brands. But then I was poking around the Olay website and took their new “find your skincare regimen” questionnaire and took it, and certain products in the Definity line were recommended instead.
The regular jar night cream from Definity is a thick cream, a weird color (almost a dirty beige) in a 1.7-ounce jar. I have been happy using that for about a month before I got this special Skin Rehab kit.
The first seven tubes of the Skin Rehab stuff look just like the regular jar stuff I was using before. The tubes are convenient, but this causes excess packaging issues which may offend some people. The second batch of tubes is a purer cream color. Neither of these felt any different from a rich nighttime moisturizer.
My skin does suffer from discoloration in places and I didn’t notice this product changing that. The moisturizing mask is a neat thing to try and feels very nice on the face, but again, I can get the same overall nice results cleansing with the Regenerist microdermabrasion kit followed by the Definity (or even the Regenerist) night moisturizer. So, this kit seems like a bit of a waste, and I probably won’t get it again.
Not sure I want to be in REHAB!
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
While the Olay Definity Skin Rehab was soothing and nice, I have to say that I do not feel that two weeks of “rehabilitation” made any significant difference in my skin.
The individual packets contained more than enough lotion to cover the face, throat and decollatage, so I was able to feel as if I was getting thorough coverage. The smell was pleasant and the product did leave my face feeling soft each night after applying it. I awoke still feeling as if my skin were nice and supple. The final mask looked as if it would be quite messy, but really was easy to apply, though I did not feel that my skin actually felt as nice after the intense mask as it did using the original two-week lotion. It left my skin a bit sticky afterwards instead of silky.
I generally do not purchase something that has so much excess packaging and that aspect of it does seem unnecessary. I am sure it is meant to look like an extravagant treat from the spa, but a single tube used for the same period of time would have the same effect without the needless packaging that can only be thrown away in the end (at least I have found no other use for it that I can think of).
Bottom Line: Did I see a signficant difference after this pleasurable experience? Not really. It was a nice nightly routine but no different than using my regular night cream. I did not get any truly noticeable results in the reduction of lines or discoloration and did not notice much of a change in the texture of my skin, though it did feel soft while using it. I believe I get the same results from my ordinary routine, so I was a bit disappointed thinking that a “skin rehab” product would do something intense. Nice, but nothing special, is my final judgment.
Kind of fun
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My skin was in pretty good shape (thanks to Olay Pro-X!) already, but this looked interesting.
The kit is nice-looking, comes in 13 little tubes in a stand, with a mask clipped to the back.
Each tube has more than enough moisturizer for your face, neck, and even your hands if you like. Phase One is very lightweight, non-greasy and pinkish-tan colored. Mildly perfumed. Phase Two is thicker and pearly white. The mask is white felt soaked in a translucent goo. All phases worked well for moisturizing, though I found the mask a little inconvenient since it takes 15+ minutes. I’d rather use that in the daytime.
Overall it was entertaining and certainly did no harm. It’s hard to test sun damage in early spring, and I was using a superior product already, so I didn’t expect to see anything dramatic, and I didn’t. My skin looked good, though.
My biggest complaint is that the rehab kit is very wasteful in that it produces a lot of plastic trash. All the tubes and the big rack to hold them. Still, if you want to take a couple weeks to pamper yourself, inexpensively, and don’t mind throwing out 95% of what you paid for, this would be a good choice.
just another exfoliator
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Tried this product in order to get rid of some large brown “age” spots on cheeks near outer corner of eyes. It lightened the age spots some, in that it made my skin peel a little the first week. In no way did it make them disappear. The second week skin “rejuvenator” (part 3 of the three-step process) really did nothing.
Could have used any exfoliator and it would have done about the same job. Just more snake oil to add to the medicine cabinet. At least it smells nice.
Not Sure It Did Anything
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Olay claims that this product will counteract the impact of years of stresses, and that your skin will have a new flawless luminosity after the two weeks of treatment.
I think my skin may have been a little softer after I finished the treatment. I’m sure it didn’t do any harm — it’s one week of exfoliating treatments, one week of moisturizing treatments, and then a 15-minute moisture mask at the end. I don’t think it did any good, either.
The moisture mask, which is applied on the last day and is left on for 15 minutes, felt pretty unpleasant. It was very goopy — like sticking a paper towel saturated in moisturizer on your face. I was happy to take it off.
I cannot even imagine paying what this product costs, for what really boils down to some exfoliator and some moisturizer.
Treatment Began Night After Dermatologist Removed Pre-Cancerous Lesion….
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I have treated my skin well; never smoked cigarettes, never been a sun worshipper, and have been blessed with good genes. But at the age of 45, a dermatologist removed an early stage squamous-cell carcinoma lesion from my cheek. The doctor said the area would blister for a few days and be completely gone in two weeks.
That night I began the Olay Definity 14 day skin rehabilitation program. This intensive 3-phase regimen includes 13 nightly treatments, which are followed by a moisturizing mask.
The program claims to “counteract past skin stresses to diminish discoloration PLUS wrinkles in just 14 days.”
The detoxify and deep recovery vials contain small amounts of product (0.05 oz. each) but smell lovely. After the first application, my skin did feel softer than before.
After several days the only difference I could see was soft skin. After 6 days, I woke up to find the scab from the lesion completely gone, replace by just a dull pink mark. That made me happy, as I had worried about having a permanent scar.
After the second part of the weekly treatments; the deep recovery phase, my face was soft, but also puffy. Perhaps my skin had a more even tone, but I’m not certain of that. The mask was fine, and it left my skin feeling softer still.
Overall I believe the product is a good one, especially when your skin is in need of repair after a procedure like I had done. However, the cost of the kit is high, considering how little product you receive. You get less than ¾ of an ounce of product for the first treatments (total). The mask is good, but hardly makes up for the high price. I think Olay should package the first two treatments in larger tubes with 3 masks, and market it as a 3-month treatment program. At least you’d feel like you were getting your monies worth. And also, I don’t feel that I look any younger, or that any of my (slight) wrinkles are gone, or lessened. I probably would not splurge on this item, unless I have another damaging procedure that requires skin repair.
Skin Care
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Easily absorbs into skin. Not greasy, sticky, tacky. Skin is softer, clearer, smoother, more radiant.
Didn’t help with wrinkles, but helped with dark spots
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
At the age of 37, I have noticeable fine lines around my eyes and mouth. This product definitely made my skin softer and smoother, but it didn’t do anything for the wrinkles. If you have oily skin, like some other reviewers noted, it may also make you break out; I normally only get one pimple maybe once every few months, but this caused me to break out around my chin and in the T-zone.
One definite benefit is that, by the end of the 14 days, it did cause the light brown spots I have on my face to fade a bit. My skin also looks brighter, but, as mentioned, that is at the expense of some pimples.
As a side note, the little vials contain so much product that I had plenty to spread on my neck, decolletage area, and even hands and arms. There is enough product, in fact, to probably get two nights’ worth of use out of each vial, meaning that you could make the system last for two rounds (27 days, since the mask can only be used once), instead of one.
Olay is known for their high quality products at drugstore prices, and I have had great results with the oil-free version of their Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum (which has been very favorably reviewed in _Consumer Reports_ and also by Dr. Leslie Baumann in her book _The Skin Type Solution_), so I think I’ll stick that instead.
don’t really see any difference
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’m in my mid-40′s, have fine lines but no deep creases as of yet, have some sun damage and tend toward large pores. I stopped using my usual skin treatment products other than cleanser and morning moisturizer to use the Olay Skin Rehab Kit. I followed the full regimen and have to say, I don’t see any improvement in the sun damage or to the texture of my skin. In fact, I think it is worse. I was using good exfoliants (alpha and beta hydroxy products) and I can see that I have more clogged pores and dead skin on the surface after using the Definity kit than before.
I really disliked the fragrance of the week one cream, it smelled so strong and overly perfumed I was afraid to get too close to my husband after I’d applied it! The first two nights I had some stinging after I applied it. I also had some breakouts that week. I quite liked the scent of the week two cream. While using it my skin was a little flaky and red. The mask was awful. Cold, ooky and unpleasant. I have no clue if the “serum” did anything but I wouldn’t really want to use the mask again.
I’d say this product is basically harmless, but didn’t do much for me and definitely didn’t “rehabilitate” anything. A daily regimen of exfoliating products is probably going to be more effective than two weeks once a quarter. I also felt really guilty throwing away the big plastic tray the tubes came in.
Too Much Rehab In One Tube!
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
My skin apparently does not need this much rehabbing! I tried one tube of this one night, and discovered putting the whole tube on my face was impossible. So, I put most of one tube on, and it left my face very greasy looking…even the next day, after I washed my face. My foundation did not go on well either. It was quite a shocking difference from using the Olay ProX creams, which I have been using for over a month. I went back to the ProX the next night. Maybe I’ll try the Rehab Definity again when the ProX runs out. Maybe if you stick with it as instructed, it does what it claims to do. I do not know, but I know I am never going to try to put an entire tube on my face again, as instructed. It is too much and too greasy!
very good skin care product
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a very nice and easy to use treatment for erasing face wrinkles. It is done in three steps. The first part of the treatment involves breaking open an ampule of cream and applying to your face (after cleaning). The program contains seven ampules ,one per night to detoxify the skin. Lining up the separate ampules helps in remembering to use each night. The next step is using ampules for moisture for seven nights. Last is a mask that completes program. I was very pleased with the result.
Opt for the Pro-X or Regenerist Line …
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Procter and Gamble has always been honest about their Olay line: it doesn’t provide surgical results and it doesn’t even take the place of a visit to the dermatologist … but it does allow for small, positive changes.
Though this product is inexpensive, I agree with the opinion of some other reviewers … it’s a little gimmicky. You would be better off to invest in the Olay Anti-Aging Starter Protocol Pro-X Kit which is a bit more intensive and offers better results. This will make your skin softer, but there were no other noticeable results (for me). (But I also do not smoke, do not drink, have a strict diet, and wear SPF every day … someone who needs genuine repair may see other results).
My personal opinion is that instead of experimenting with the product du jour, men/women interested in skincare should book an appointment with the dermatologist and get a professional opinion. My dermatologist customizes programs for her clients’ specific needs … you simply cannot do this in the aisles of Wal-Mart. The bad part is that the expense doesn’t stop here. You’ll probably be given a prescription for Renova (which is about $200.00) and be told to invest in a moisturizer (about $15.00-$35.00) and an SPF lotion/foundation (price varies). So, if you are always experimenting with the newest product and dropping $30 here, $40 there … then just see a dermatologist. If you do not expect significant results and will be pleased with small changes, then try some of the Pro-X or Regenerist products.
Bottom line: While Olay’s Skin Rehab isn’t going to inspire drastic changes, it will leave your skin feeling softer. The price is appealing, but there are only two weeks worth of product included.
Good set if you’ve been intersted in trying this type of skin care set.
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
If you’ve been on the fence for awhile interested in trying this type of skin care set Olay’s “Skin Rehab” 1-kit set provides an affordable level of entry to those not quite ready to spend $50+ dollars for more full fledged kits. For about $15 or so you’re provided with 3 different skin care products that you’re to use in progressive stages over the course of 2 weeks. While I wouldn’t necessarily say that i’m the target consumer for such a product (i’m not that wrinkly….yet!) I will say that within 10 days my skin did feel refreshed and the overall tone was certainly more balanced and ‘healthy’ looking in contrast to it’s appearance when I first started.
While this set isn’t necessarily the best one on the market, for the price it really can’t hurt to try if you’re curious.
A nice feeling quality product

I am a 44 year old white female with combination skin. I use retin-a, and have for over 20 years. I used this Olay kit for 14 days, as directed. It has several good points. I like the individual vials. They contain enough product to treat my face, neck, décolletage, and the back of my hands. I’m one of those people who like to treat all these areas the same. Also, the individual vials seem more hygienic. The first set of treatment is 7 days that is suppose to exfoliate your skin. I didn’t notice any problems with redness or flaking during this time, which I was concerned might happen because of the retin-a, but it didn’t. Even this part of the treatment was very moisturizing. My skin did feel softer and smoother after this 1st seven days, but I didn’t see any major differences. The next six days are concentrated peptide vials. They were even more moisturizing than the 1st part of the series. I didn’t have any problems with break outs though, so it is not heavy. My favorite part is the mask you use on the last day. It felt very soothing and left a really nice sheen. I left it on for 15 minutes. Than massaged the surface serum in to my face, neck, décolletage and hands. It was a nice treatment It is recommended to use the kit every three months, which seems like a good idea. My only complaint is that they only include one mask. If they sold the masks individually I would buy them to use once a week!
Oh so soft Olay
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This 14 day treatment comes in three parts, but it’s all in one little tray for you. There are 7 tubes in the first row of the tray, just twist the caps off and put on before bed, they give you more than enough to cover your face. After you apply to your face will need to allow for a few moments of drying before laying your head on the pillow. The next day I could immediately feel that my face was super soft and hydrated. It was a very noticeable difference in texture. I couldn’t believe how smooth my face was and I kept feeling it.
The second row is the same type of tube but a different consistency inside. After you complete all the tubes there is a final step, it is a mask, but you don’t have to mix anything, or rinse anything off, you just take it out of the pouch, put it right on your face and then throw it away. It’s been about two weeks since I’ve used the product but my skin still feels dewy soft and smooth. That tells me that it is not just temporary relief but that it’s actually doing something down deep, that lasts. It is an impressive regime.
feels good and works a bit
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I have become a lot more interested in my skin, now that I’ve hit 30. I’m trying to reverse some of the skin damage I’ve done with sun and such.
Also, I like to pamper myself sometimes…
So, I bought this 14 day kit because it fit the bill. I simply adore the feel and scent of the lotions for the first 7 days. I also think it did brighten my complexion a little. The second week was alright, though I didn’t see a huge difference and let me just say: the cloth mask with the serum on it for the last nigh: FREAKY. I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror without laughing (Friday the 13th, anyone?). BUT: my face was extremely smooth the next morning, and I actually squeezed out the cloth before throwing it away and smeared the “left-over” serum on my neck, etc.
So, though this 14 day kit might not make you look like you had a face-lift and laser treatment on your sun spots, it made me feel refreshed and like I was intensively doing something for my skin.
I would buy this again (but probably not every 3 months, or as recommended), but really it was more of an inexpensive spa treat for me than a hard-core tool to improve skin tone and look.
I must admit, the morning before the facial mask, I used Olay Regenerist Microdermabrasion kit and found really excellent results from that. So, that’s probably the route I’m going to take from now on.
First 7 days were the best
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This product was ok. I think that the first 7 days of the treatment was where I saw the most improvement, but it only seemed to be right after I put the cream on. My face was instantly brighter and very soft. It didn’t seem to last, it was gone when I woke up. The second half the last 7 days really didn’t seem to do anything at all. The mask is um, strange, but it did feel good once it was on, and my skin did feel very soft after the mask. I still have the discoloration that I had when starting this product, and haven’t noticed any improvement there, or with wrinkles, I’m 35 and my wrinkles are minimal but I do have discoloration from two masks of pregnancies. I am sure that depending on your skin type and tone products have different results for different people, but in a nut shell I most likely wouldn’t do this treatment again.
not a fan…

So I got this and it’s a very hardcore system. I mean it’s serious about reducing wrinkles with a lot of instructions day-by-day.
The problem is it doesn’t work. At least for me- I saw absolutely no difference.
…and the last day is an actual facial mask that was just smelly and uncomfortable.
Nice product that produced results ~ would use again!

I used this product for the prescribed 14 days in a row ~ it was fairly easy to remember to substitute these tubes for the oil-free hydrating gel I normally put on my face after cleaning it, every night. The product was nice: I have normal skin that is a tad dry, and this product worked out just great for me…I used the tubes on my face each night, and never had any excess: I would just rub it all in & wait for it to soak up & ended up using it all. Anyone who has oily skin may find that there is too much product in the tubes, but for my slightly dry normal skin, it was just perfect if I let it soak in!
The first tubes were nice: a thick consistency kind of like a lotion, and the second set of tubes reminded me of conditioner for my face: and both smelled very nice! The mask I really liked, and would like to purchse seperate to use once in awhie: it was cooling & nice, and I laid back & took a little ‘nap’ while it was working!
I am 30 years old, and have a few wrinkles on my forehead, smile lines, etc. and I did see a difference in them! I would buy & use this product again when I have some extra money, and do a few times a year (as recommended): I wasn’t blown away by the product being ‘absolutely amazing’ or anything, but it was a nice little regime and I DID see some improvement on my face, so I would be willing to try it again & see how it goes if I keep using this product a few more times ~ recommended for those who want to help the lines on their face or to do something to get themselves into the habit of putting moisturizer/cream on their face every night!
Just average–not a miracle worker.

First, I have to say I’ve been blessed with good skin. So when this came up as an offering in the Vine Program I thought, “Why not?” Here are my conclusions:
pluses: it did not break my skin out; it had an okay scent; the packaging was clever
minuses: each tube contained more than I could easily spread on my face and neck, so it felt a bit wasteful; it took a while for the contents to be totally absorbed into my skin, so I needed to make sure I allowed enough time before going to bed to apply it; I really didn’t see any great improvement; since I have never used this type of product before, it seemed pretty pricey to me for 2 weeks worth of treatment.
I’ll stick with my tried and true moisturizers.
Some softness, but not much else.

It’s hard to say at this time, but it has moisturized nicely. There’s good things about this product, but time will tell if this is truly going to be a significant product for rejuvenation of skin. It does make the skin a little softer and more moist. But it will take some time to get the full effects. Don’t expect miracles.
Quite good, especially considering what it had to work with…

I have read some of the other reviews, and I may be filling a niche here. Most of the people seem to be in their thirties and forties and somewhat uneasy about the appearance of lines here and there. Well, I’m at the stage where I am easing out of the “woman of a certain age” category and rushing headlong into the position of “woman not certain what age she will attain.” Seriously. I’m starting to see not lines, but things better described at best as minor ravages.
I really like this product. It’s close to the best I’m going to get, I suppose, because every time I mention plastic surgery my husband starts talking about how much he loves me just as I am, and I’ve never cared for the plastic robot look that results from Botox injections, which I’m probably too late for anyhow.
This product is pleasant to use and pleasant in effect. I have very fair and rather delicate skin (to go with my now more-or-less red hair), and it slurps up oil and pretends I did nothing for it. All those people who are saying that there is so much of this stuff and that they had extra? My face soaked it all up and could have used more. I have had renewal products irritate my skin before, but this did not; I felt a slight sting from the first seven days’ worth, but no problems.
As to the effect–yes, it does seem to plump up the skin and make it more translucent; and it does a nice job of making discolorations blend in with the rest of your skin. I liked what it did quite a lot.
Simple soul that I am, I rather enjoyed the little stand and the tiny tubes and the ritual I went through with it. It was certainly a routine I would not forget to do; and, done at bedtime, it had something of a relaxing effect–probably not as relaxing as some more substantive things would have been, but pleasant enough. Oh! And speaking of such, it is lovely that it doesn’t leave your face greasy or sticky or funny colors. Nice.
In any case, it seems to have left me looking more nearly like the image I would like to have at this point, which is that of a rather prosperous but no-nonsense old broad, rather than like the one I fear I’m heading for naturally, which is that of one of those farm ladies you see in pictures taken during the Dust Bowl.
The box recommends that one go through this process at least once every three months, and I am considering doing that. This time fell close enough to the equinox that I can time it for the change of seasons and let that be a reminder for what there is of my no doubt soon-to-be-failing mind.
Never again

Going into this product test my skin was well nourished and looked wonderful. The Olay Skin Rehab kit undid everything that I had previously accomplished.
The first week my skin did look brighter in the morning. The second week dried my skin out so badly that it looked like I aged years in just one week. It was terrible.
The mask did nothing to repair the damage the rest of the treatment caused.
My face brokeout throughout the entire two weeks. In odd spots too. Not in any of the normal spots I’ve ever broken out in.
I know Olay has a great reputation but this product is terrible. I would not recommend it. I would not buy it. I wouldn’t even use it for free again.
Two stars is the best I can offer this kit.

After going through the 14 day program I didn’t notice a huge difference. But I’m not sure that 14 days is actually long enough, it should probably be for at least 28 days. After all we didn’t get those fine lines and wrinkles in 14 days so how can you cure them in that amount of time. On the plus side my skin does seem to be more soft and hydrated so it did it’s job in at least that aspect, and I really enjoyed the nightly routine and pleasant fragrance. Bottom line I will probably try it again next winter when my skin needs extra care. Otherwise I’ll just stick to the regenerist.
a good moisturizer, not a great one

After completing a full 2-week course of Olay Definity Skin Rehab, I have to say I liked the product, but didn’t love it.
I’ve used Olay for years. I’m 37 and am seeing signs of aging around my eyes and lips. My skin is pale with some discoloration on the cheeks from chronic dryness. Currently my nighttime moisturizer is Olay Regenerist serum, which I really enjoy as it exfoliates well and keeps the red on my cheeks down better than anything else I’ve found.
I replaced Regenerist with Definity for 2 weeks. The first week is “detox”, which is a fancy way of saying exfoliation. It was a good moisturizer and exfoliated as well as Regenerist, but not better than. The Definity lotion was thinner and with a nicer, more gentle scent than Regenerist, though.
The second series was 6 days of “deep recovery”. This was a thicker, more potent moisturizer. Here I did see a difference, with the red rough spots on my cheeks getting a bit less noticeable and the wrinkles around my eyes lessening. But I also had a lot more pimples and after a few days of using the deep recovery lotion at night, I would get dry white flaky stuff on my face the next day.
The third step was a single-use mask covered with a lot of moisturizer, which is stretched onto your face and left for at least 15 minutes. The moisturizer was fine but I didn’t enjoy the cold wet oogie feel of the mask while it was on.
The biggest difference I noticed with this Definity treatment was that my makeup went on easier and nicer than before. My skin was smoother and the makeup looked more uniform. But like I said, after just a few hours I got what looked like dry skin flakes on some parts of my face, yet my face didn’t feel dry at all. That went away a day after I stopped the deep recovery stage.
It’s not a bad moisturizer series, but I think I would prefer to have a single daily or nighttime moisturizer than do a separate 2-week stint, especially after using that mask.
Not Bad..Some Perks
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’m a regular user of Olay moisturizers, have oily skin and large pores prone to breakouts. After completing this 14-day treatment I noticed a very slight smoothing of my skin. My pores feel a bit tighter and skin feels refreshed specially after the final mask (wish they had more of that stuff). The 1st week’s treatment is a bit oily for my skin. The 2nd week’s treatment is much better, smoother and silkier on the skin. I wouldn’t mind using that on a regular basis if it was available separately. The individual tube/packaging is convenient (portable for travel) but seem unnecessarily wasteful for regular use.

This works wonders! I am 57 and if I do say so myself, I look 40. No one has guessed my age over 40 even at the carnivals. I only use Olay products. This past 7 years since my son was back and forth in Iraq for nearly 4 years in the Army I really started developing lines on my face that were never there before and dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep. This took care of that and it still looks good now and I do not use it very often, maybe 4 times a year. Your skin looks and feels like a babys skin and stays fresh. Not much make up needed when your skin is in good condition. You won’t be sorry you used this and it is worth every penny and then some.

ANOTHER GUEST REVIEW BY “MRS. KNOW IT ALL!!”
This skin rehabilitation process takes place in three phases. There are 7 nights of detoxifying the skin, 6 nights of revitalizing, and the last night is a skin mask. After all, of those nights, I did not see a big enough transformation in my skin to warrant using this product again.
The first 7 nights, I did see a difference in my skin–it was less red and felt smoother. Therefore, I was very pleased with this application and could not wait to move onto the next. Well, the next 6 nights, I feel like I moved backwards. The cream is more oil based, which does not work well with anyone who has problems with oily skin. This process made my skin feel oily and in turn, I think it made me breakout more than I would have under normal skin care. The last night is the skin mask, which I found to be cooling and refreshing.
The PROS – There is enough cream in the tubes to share with your partner, or use half each night, saving the next half for the next day. Then you would have unopened tubes to save for another application a few months later. So, you can really get two applications out of this product.
The CONS – In the end, I did not see enough difference in my face to use this product again. I also did not like the reaction my face had to the oily type cream.
Regenerist fluid worked better.

This kit did not work for me. I prefer the Olay Daily Regenerating Serum over this product. The little tubes cause too much waste.
By the way, Amazon was to send me this product through Vine and I have still not received it.
Hmmm
I can and often do pass for someone in their mid-twenties. I wanted to see if there would be improvement in some of those fine lines around my eyes. The first 7 days treatment went well. I found there to be quite a bit of liquid in the little tubes, with a tad bit leftover for my hands. I started the second part of the treatment and had to quite after 2 days because my face was so itchy. I do not have senstive skin and had not tried or added anything different to my skin care routine. On a good note, it did not effect my hands. So, I just used the remaining tubes as directed but on my hands. I did not want to try the face mask on my face, so I used it on my hands. Honestly, I could definately feel and see the difference on my hands. I have a few little freckles (age spots) on my hands and they did not disappear completely, but they definately faded. I am supposing because of the plumping ability in the cream it also made my veins in my hands not stick out as much. So, I rated this with 4 stars only for the fact of it irritating my face. Very happy with how it worked on my hands.

I am someone who is still young but I do believe that good skin care can start at any age. Before using this product, my skin was extremely dry and sun-damaged. My daily moisturizer was not moisturzing my skin as good as I would have liked it. So here is what I thought about each Phase.
Phase 1: This was probably my favorite phase. From the moment I put it on, I could feel it working. Since my skin was so dry, I got that good kind of pain that can only come from dry skin being refreshed. I thought one tube might be a lot for my face but it was very light and non-greasy that really, the one tube was a perfect amount. Furthermore, my skin was becoming more moisturized than ever before.
Phase 2: Phase two was OK. It had a very silky feeling to it. The only downside is that you have to spread the lotion extremely fast or else it tends to be left on your fingers much of the residue.
Phase 3: I will admit that I did not get to enjoy Phase 3 as much as I wanted. I was busy with a few things so I was only able to leave it on for so long. however, this is a very nice moisturizing mask that if possible, is great to lie down on the bed and just leave the mask on for a long time. It did a great job conditioning my face.
Overall, I did see that some of my sun-damage was gone. My skin glowed a bit more and it was a lot more moisturized than before. This is a great system.
Convenient packaging for nightly use, but so-so results.
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
My wife recently finished using this product which is split into 13 days of nightly treatment followed by a facial mask. The first phase was 7 nights of `detox’ followed by 6 nights of moisturizing.
She felt that her skin was hydrated and more supple after using the entire kit. However she did not see a noticeable reduction in fine lines. The product did smell nice and felt good. Also the individual packages were easy to use, you know exactly how much to use each night, as was the included packaging which doubles as a holder. Of course 2 weeks is a short amount of time to see dramatic improvements but it was hard for my wife to see and feel more improvement compared to using a nightly moisturizer. She might try it again in the winter months when her skin feels drier.
Does it work?
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I used the 14 day trial. Did it work? Well, I’m not exactly sure. I’m not overly wrinkled yet, I do have a age spot, that I wanted to lesson in appearance.
The first step: 7 nights of detoxifying. I don’t know how that is supposed to feel. My face felt smooth, only on the 6th day, did I notice a little reddening of my face, only slight. (People I worked with said I looked rested, healthy, not knowing that I was using it)
Second step: 6 nights of deep recovery. It was not overly greasy, just made everything feel smooth.
Step 3 Use the deep conditioner mask for 15-20 minutes. The mask had tons of lotion on it, with cutouts for your nostrils, eyes and mouth. Getting the mask situated on my face was a little hard. Everyone’s face is a different size, so once I’d get the eye sockets right, the breathing holes weren’t where they were supposed to be. So I’d get claustrophobic. But finally after a little help, it got stretched to where it was supposed to be. It did feel good, slimy and cool. I really thought that my skin was going to break out after all that lotion. After you take the mask off, you rub the excess residue into your skin. I was surprised, it didn’t feel slimy afterwards.
The next day, skin felt good but did it look different, not really to me. The age spot I had looked a little lighter but was still there. I think I could cover it up a little easier now, but it certainly didn’t disappear. The box says use it every 3 months.
Will I try it again? The price would really have to be dirt cheap. I might try the mask again b/c it did feel good. So maybe just looking rested will have to suffice, better than nothing.
seems like a gimmick to me

Okay this product was nice, it moisturized my skin for 14 days. It’s nice smelling and worked well, or at least my skin is very soft. I love the tubes. I’m not sure if it did what it was supposed to do though. I’m not sure what my expectations should be. Though I’m still fairly young, so I might not be the target audience. One thing though, I disliked the mask at the end and having it wear it for 15 minures (or longer it says!). It itched and wasn’t that pleasant. I would have just rather had another tube instead of that. For the price though, this would be 50 dollars a month for skin care. I’m pretty sure you could find a much better cream for 50 dollars a month.
Good as an inexpensive night moisturizer with extra’s
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I’m being a little mean here and I’ve gone for 3 stars – bang in the middle so to speak.
Olay have a good reputation for fine products at reasonable prices, with a fairly broad customer base here in North America.
Definity is a fine moisturizer, that covers uneven tone well.
Week one you use tube A to detoxify – no mystery, just use every night instead of your regular night cream, or moisturizer.
Week two you switch that out for tube #2 (deep recovery).
And then finally on day 14 you wear the pre saturated “stretch-n-fit” mask all night.
The key ingredient here in “Definity” is N acetyl Glucosamine which (they claim) boosts the actions of niacinamide (vitamin B3) and improves the skin’s moisture. It also performs exfoliation and protects the skin from the environment. B3 is also a barrier to water loss and aids retention (not always a good thing).
For every ying however, there is a yang, so the bad news here is that it contains synthetic fragrances, synthetic paraben (that can cause skin irritation) and artificial coloring. Also, for a supposed “wrinkle” cream it does NOT? contain Argiriline, Matryxil 3000 or any other active peptides (found in more expensive alternatives) with proven wrinkle “releasing” results, but you can’t have everything for under $20 I suppose!
There’s also a footnote suggesting you use this every three months for optimum results. It’s an OK, cheap product that seems to work well so far, and is as good as any current night time moisturizer I’ve used (haven’t had three weeks worth yet so time will tell). But anyone who actually has the time and patience to care for their skin properly (as we all should) will probably opt for a superior product.
TWO WEEKS AND STILL HOPING
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Methinks manufacturers take big risks when they promote a product claiming “fuller hair in 7 days” or in this case “14 day skin rehabilitation.” Nothing irks this customer more than blarney on packaging.
I guess a definition of “rehabilitation” would be helpful. I freely admit that my skin could use some improvement, but rehabilitation? Nonetheless, after two weeks my smile lines look about the same and I didn’t start out any discoloration to “diminish.”
The package reads “A total anti-aging skin immersion….” Well, since immersion is defined as immersing something in liquid – I could pretty much do that with water. If anything had resulted in anti-aging with this immersion I could fill a tub with it and charge my friends for taking a dip.
Okay, I am being facetious – simply put for me the product didn’t do as advertised. I give it a 3 because it did make me take more time with prebedtime facial cleansing and that never hurts!

Wonderful moisturizer…. problematic skin user a fan!!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
So, I think I have become a new fan of this wonderful product. Upon reading the instructions on the box it states that this product should be used once every 3 months for the full 14 day period. The regimen is a 14 day skin rehabilitation that should detoxify and eliminate fine lines and skin discoloration.
A little backround… I go and have Microdermabrasion done every few months and use the Dermologica brand of cleansers, moisturizer and scrub. At night I use a Guinot brand of moisturizer. I have problematic skin that has since subsided since the microdermabrasion. In the summer, I have the dreaded T-Zone situation and in the winter my face dries out terribly and flakes. I suffer from clogged pores as well.
There is a nice hard plastic container holding all the vials for the necessary treatment. I am trying to find another way to reuse the plastic container.
Nights 1-7 is the “detox” phase of the treatment that is supposed to ignite the skins exfoliation. The vial had a lot of cream… too much for my face, so I continued down to my neck. The scent was very very pleasant. It actually became a wonderful anticipated moment every night being able to sniff the lingering scent while watching television. My face felt magnificently supple and luminous. The dry winter skin was no longer visible; my husband even commented on how soft and supple my face appeared and felt in bed. It was sticky and my skin drank it up. I began to see some discoloration begin to even out.
Nights 8-13 is the “deep recovery” phase of the treatment that is supposed to hydrate and help the skin recover from past stresses. The vials are again the same size and a lot of cream. That is actually a great thing opposed to not having enough. The scent again was very pleasant but different from the first. My face felt just a bit greasier with this phase after application. I found my face slightly sticking to my pillow (not cute when you have dogs and cat that lay on your bed). Even though, my face continued to feel great and look remarkably clear even though it was that time of the month.
The final phase is the “reviving” mask that is supposed to give the skin a boost of rehabilitating moisture. I am a claustrophobic person and I did not find this mask restricting in the least bit! It was very fun and felt like a spa night at home. The mask is in a foil lined pouch already saturated with 5x the conditioners of a typical lotion. You do not need to add water to the mask. Remove the mask, unfold and apply to face. You must slow grasp and stretch the edges to make it fit properly. I did not find it to be small and the more I gently tugged, I was able to form my face perfectly. You end up looking a bit like Jason from the horror movie LOL. The recommended time is to leave the mask for 15 mins or more. I opted to go for 45 minutes while watching some recorded shows. That was a wonderful end to a pretty painless treatment.
Highly recommend, as I will be purchasing as Summer rolls around. At first I was going to come on here saying it didn’t do much, but now that I am no longer using, my face doesn’t feel supple and bright anymore. I am also considering purchasing some more products from this line. As far as the wrinkles, I am 28 and besides some fine forehead lines, they were less pronounced during the treatment.
Comedogenic
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
Comedogenic = greasy, acne producing.
I have some wrinkles but I don’t need clogged pores and acne on top of that.
The phase one was yummy, it tasted like strawberry yogurt. The phase two felt nice. However both left my skin way to dry and I had to use my regular moisturizer on top of that. The mask was unpleasant, it was cold and did not fit my face properly, but it was moisturizing.
The packaging is scary – half pound of plastic for a tiny bit of product.
I won’t be buying this product because I don’t think that pimples suit me.
Oy Vay!
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
If you have a good bit of time on your hands and a desire to devote much of it to what amounts to a virtually useless exercise, this product might be for you.
On the bright side, it is inoffensive in it’s scent. On the negative side, it did ultimately become irritating to my skin. I must confess, however, that I do have allergies, and another consumer in search of a beauty miracle might not have this reaction.
However, the truth is that at the end of it all, I saw no transformation of any kind brought about by the chemicals in this formula.
fun night routine, but no noticeable difference
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
The little tubes of lotion in their plastic rack appealed to me aesthetically, like lining up crayons or getting a gold star every day for good work. Given how expensive the lotions are, it was good to have measured doses, because I probably would have skimped, when they expect you to be more generous.
The 7-day detoxify routine was followed by a 6-day “deep recovery” regimen. They didn’t seem that different to me, except that the deep recovery lotion was so lovely, a pearlescent white, I might have kept using it just because it LOOKS like it’s doing something special.
The final treatment is a cloth mask saturated with special moisturizer. You plaster it to your entire face and leave it on for 15 minutes “or more.” I left it on for nearly half an hour, by which time all the wrinkles in the mask had melted away and it was nicely fitted to my face.
But I didn’t see the noticeable improvement I had expected. I don’t have a lot of wrinkles on my own face — puffiness and lines are more my problem — so I suppose there wasn’t all that much to diminish. Or perhaps my skin is already very healthy, and there’s only so much one can do to turn back the clock for a middle-aged woman with combination skin.
Back to my daily face care routines, and I won’t bother with this one again.
Great product with one exception.
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
For performance only, this would be a 5-star product. I just finished the final day of it last night and my skin is noticably improved. It’s definitely softer. On day 12 my husband even out of the blue said my skin looked really nice. I have sensitive skin, but I didn’t have any problems with this product, no break-outs.
Where I am deducting a star is because it’s made in China. That doesn’t bother some people, so for product performance alone, don’t consider it.
I liked the whole system and my favorite part was the mask on the final day.
Rather toxic treatment, nothing luxurious
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Oh what a disappointment…The first three days of use were pretty good, then small break outs started to appear, and mind you, my skin doesn’t freak out for no reason, if I punish it then yes it will revolt, and this 14 day torture system was certainly punishment to my pores. I must admit I never got to the face mask, I just couldn’t do this horrible ritual anymore, I missed my nice face creams and soothed skin, this made it tight and dry then I would wake up to find clogged pores and random strange things on my face, this feels full of chemicals that are a harsh change from the beautiful creams I have been using.
Since I’m only 27 and there are no wrinkles yet I can’t say how this works on wrinkles, but the lotion in them was strange and not pleasant and my skin literally felt unhappy each time I used it not to mention the breakouts, those were such a fun bonus…

Doesn’t do much for wrinkle, but it made my skin soft.
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
All in all, this didn’t help with wrinkles. I did notice a positive change in discoloration. It made my skin soft and moisturized it well. It has a lovely scent. It does two-thirds what it says it is supposed to do. I will say that I am blessed in the genes department and look a lot younger than I am. Maybe others will get better results? So I give it 2 out of 5 stars.

If you have to invest in your skin, this product is well worth it. Over several days, you’ll need to apply a nightly application. Each night is designed to improve your skin and make it more healthy. You’ll notice the difference in your skin. Softer, cleaner more vibrant.
The last application of the product is a full mask.
This product is a great investment for your face.
I thnk this is some pretty okay moisturizer…
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I haven’t used too many moisturizer products, so I can’t compare too much. This seems pretty comparable to the other one I’ve used. It’s nice to have individually packaged doses. Though one wonders whether having so much throw-away packaging (the tubes, stand and such) is in any way environmentally friendly. Probably not.
As far as efficacy, my hands started pretty dry and leathery, bordering on wrinkly (being jut under 30, they shouldn’t be like that and it had me a bit worried). Don’t know whether it was due to a new fat-free diet, delayed sun damage from a trip to Hawaii or the hard water in the new house we just moved to.
In any event, since I’ve been using the stuff my hands seem to be back to a bit more “normal” condition, with skin that snaps back in place and doesn’t look wrinkly / leather when my fingers are straight and the skin is loose (as opposed to when the fist is clenched and the skin is taught and you can’t tell the skin is dry / leathery).
Again, I’m not quite sure whether the change in my hands is due solely to the moisturizer, change in diet (I’ve been somewhat inadvertently getting a bit more fat in the diet, which may have helped with the dry skin problems) or drinking more water.
I think it’s due at least in part if not largely to the Olay Skin Rehab stuff. It seems like it works better if you apply it little by little and let it soak in, rather than applying it all at once and getting a more greasy feeling. Either way, I’ve noticed a few times that after applying the little tube in its entirety it DOES leave either a slightly greasy feeling or a slightly sticky feeling on the skin, where the skin doesn’t quite slide smoothly anymore. You can definitely tell it’s there when on the hands… But since I used it before bed, I generally didn’t notice it while I was sleeping and it may have soaked in or rubbed off overnight, so I didn’t notice it in the morning either.
So, it’s a mixed bag from me. I don’t know whether it works better than any other intensive therapy moisturizer on the market. It did leave something of a “not normal” feeling on my hands after use. Be it greasy or just slightly “sticky.”
I’ll probably just go back to using the other bottle of moisturizer once this stuff is gone.

Nice intro to skin care products
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
If you’ve been interested in trying one of the new skin-care kits available, Olay’s Skin Rehab is a good place to start. You get three different products to use, in order, over a two-week period. At the end your face, if it’s like mine, will feel refreshed and hydrated.
First is a week-long detoxifying routine, followed by six days of “deep recovery.” You use pre-measured lotions in little plastic containers. Finally, you moisturize with a cloth mask that you leave on your face for at least 15 minutes.
When it’s all over, I felt like I did something special for myself, very girly. There may be better products out there, but I really liked this one.
It only missed five stars because of the terrible waste of plastic in the packaging. I felt guilty even as my face felt happy.
*REFRESHEN* Your Complexion!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The OLAY DEFINITY SKIN REHAB KIT is a two-week treatment consisting of 13 days of over-night moisturizing and one 15-minute moisturizing mask. It’s broken down into three phases and claims to diminish skin discolorations and lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, all with the hope of recapturing that youthful and healthy appearance.
After using the product for the two-weeks, I have noticed that my complexion is smoother and gives off a light glow. It also has a dewy soft texture and I actually noticed an improvement after using the product the first night. But this might have something to do with pigmentation in the product or some other ingredient that gives the appearance of smoother skin because I noticed that applying the lotion the first night gave my face an ashen/pallor tone. Either way the appearance of smooth glowing skin was there after I washed my face.
I have mild to moderate adult acne, along with combination skin, and the REHAB KIT didn’t aggravate my condition at all, but I did read that it caused one reviewer to break out so people will have different reactions to it. Leaving the lotions on all night, I was surprised to find the next morning that my face wasn’t an oil slick. Just the t-zone(nose and forehead) were a little shiny.
PHASE 1–DETOX PHASE–APPLY BEFORE BED FOR 7-DAYS
*Enough lotion in the tube to cover face and neck
*Very light-to-no scent
*Non-Greasy
*Contains Salicylic Acid so people with sensitivity to that ingredient should be wary or if using other acne medications at the same time
*While on, gave skin tone an ashen color
PHASE 2–DEEP RECOVERY–APPLY BEFORE BED FOR 6-DAYS
*Stronger scent than lotion in phase one but I got used to it
*Skin felt velvety-smooth after applying
*I felt a slight tingle the first time I applied it, which might have to do with the ingredient Niacinamide, a Niacin derivative, but that went away and it didn’t happen on other applications
PHASE 3–REVIVING MASK–APPLY FOR 15-MINUTES OR LONGER
*Cloth mask was a little awkward to put on
*Cool and refreshing and it doesn’t get stiff or dry like regular facial masks
*Little-to-no-scent
*No need to rinse face after removing the mask
Anyway, OLAY recommends using the SKIN DETOX KIT once every three-months to keep your complexion looking smooth and healthy. I’m very happy with the results and the fact that you only have to do the ritual for two-weeks.
Gave Me a Healthy Glow
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a fourteen day, two phase plan. The first seven days you apply a detoxifying treatment. This come in seven small 0.05 ounce tubes. The first seven nights I applied the cream I felt a gentle tingling. My face felt soft and I had a nice shine.
The second seven days, phase two, is the deep recovery treatment. This treatment also came in seven 0.05 ounce tubes. The cream is very soft and felt wonderful on my face. On the last day you apply a moisturizing mask which cool and silky smooth and felt oh so good. After a half hour of relaxing, I took it off and I rubbed the extra serum into my face.
So there you have it, how I used it. The results. I’m satisfied. My skin feels softer and my significant other says I have a healthy glow. Can’t beat that.
Not for oily skin of any age
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
As a lover of skin care and beauty products, and one who never had previous problems with any of the Olay line, this particular product was an unpleasant surprise. Even those of us who are over 50 (…skin care specialists would, at best, admit to our having ‘combination’ skin, but in truth it can be oily, as is mine) may have problems if we do not have dry skin.
The packaging and programme seemed a bit of luxury in which I would enjoy indulging. However, within three days I found that using the product nightly had given me a number of pimples and white heads.
It may be an excellent choice for dry skin, but it is not for those with oily complexions, whatever our age.
It didn’t seem to do much for my skin
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I’m a 47 year-old guy with decent skin for my age. Still, I do have some wrinkles, along with some minor and small discolored areas here and there. I used this product exactly as per the directions for 2 weeks and frankly I felt as if it was mostly a waste of time.
While I don’t have side-by-side photos to compare, my feeling is that it did little to nothing to improve wrinkles and little to nothing to decrease discolorations. I do feel that it may have made my skin a bit softer and the mask that you use on day 14 actually feels kind of nice. My Cockatoo was actually utterly fascinated by the mask, so wearing it was kind of interesting. Nonetheless, I am sorry to report that I cannot recommend this product.
OK, but nothing special
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
“OK, but nothing special” was the verdict of my lady product-tester for this Olay Skin Rehab kit. Perhaps she’s fussy, but her main complaint was that the moisturiser element took forever to soak in, and was wasteful in the quantity provided in each daily tube. She also felt little benefit from the kit by the end of the treatment and didn’t feel that she’d want to spend the asking price on this product for herself. Maybe you need to be beyond your late thirties to benefit?
Made me break out a little
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This product was ok but it caused some breakouts on my cheeks where I do not normally have issues. I did not really notice any changes in my skin after the treatment except for the breakouts. I’ve used other Olay products with better success but this was my first attempt at something like this. Probably won’t be trying any other brands or types like this again.
Performs well, but could be better

I wish they would encourage people to use this product in conjunction with an at-home microdermabrasion kit. I am an avid user of microdermabrasion and was suffering withdrawals while using this Olay lotion system. The first 7 days of vials did lighten my skin and clear up some discolorations, so there must be some skin bleaching going on. Also, my skin was VERY dry for the first 7 days because it is a cream to cause exfoliation and this was very difficult for me not to grab the microdermabrasion tool and scrub off that dead skin!
The second 7 day set of vials were much better and did not dry my skin out like the first 7 days.
The mask was okay, but I honestly prefer clay/mud masks out of a tube.
I give this set 4 stars because it did do a phenomenal job at evening out my skin color and clearing up the discoloration from old blemishes, but in terms of fine lines and wrinkles, I would recommend people try an at-home microdermabrasion kit, like those of Neutrogena. Combine the Olay Definity kit with the microdermabrasion of Neutrogena and BINGO! A perfect facial. I will use this again in tandem with my Neutrogena kit next time. This product is definitely worth a try to even out skin tone!
Pleasantly surprised after 6 days

Update 3/28- I have used Olay’s Definity UV foam during the day, lotion in the evening and the cleanser since last July. I liked them all and thought they are effective at lightening my sun spots due to a California trip, and they keep my skin supple and reduce any sun damage.
The first five days I used this kit, I did not feel significant improvements, may be just a little. By day 7, people started to complement how young I look. And indeed I can see a noticable difference in the color and feel of my face. So now I am giving it five stars.
This Olay Is Just OK – Olay Definity Skin Rehab
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Let me start out by saying that I have been blessed with great skin, am pushing 40 and have started to see a wrinkle here and there and several “age or sun spots”. I chose this product mainly to hopefully lighten some of the spots but alas, this product did not deliver on it’s promise to fade age spots. It did, however, in the first 7 days of treatment, make my skin a tad brighter and certainly smoother. The three different products that are in this set all have a great smell and I especially enjoyed the mask. If Olay packaged just the mask itself, I would buy it as I think the masks would be great in the summer if you got a little too much sun on your face or in the cold of winter for dry, chapped skin.
All in all this Olay was just “OK” for me…
Skin is smoother, less red. Nice container

It says 1 kit bottle, but actually it is a nice tray with 13 little tubes of lotion 1 for each of the first 13 days and then a wonderful mask for day 14.
My face was noticeably softer after just the first night. The little tubes in the tray fit nicely on your counter and have a professional appreance.
For the price this is an excellent system – well worth the cost.
Brighter Skin, Softer Skin

14 little vials and one mask are the components of Olay Definity’s 14 Day Skin Rehabilitation kit.
One vial is used each night for two weeks, followed by the “stretch and fit” mask.
Results after the first seven nights were very good. My skin definitely had a brighter look, with noticable fading of some small freckles/age spots in the outer cheek area.
Results on nights 7-14 were less impressive, but still good. This part of the program, the “hydrate” part, made my skin feel softer, but I didn’t notice any remarkable reduction of fine lines at the mouth area, or near the outer eye area.
The mask was okay, and did a nice job of moisturizing, but the effect didn’t last beyond the next morning’s cleansing.
All in all, parts 1 & 2 of the program (the vials) worked reasonably well, and I was pleased with the brightening effect.
Nice but a little gimmicky….

I’m going to be the internet’s official skin care petrie dish. I think I’ve tried just about everything, and I finally got around to Olay Definity.
I think I was just avoiding it because it seems like an incredible PITA (I hate skin treatments with multiple “steps.”)
In this case, I was wrong, but it’s easy to see why. Each of these little tubes is like a moisturizer, which they could easily put in a big tube or jar, but then you’d miss the idea that this system is doing something more than any number of other skin regiments do.
My skin is pretty normal, pretty rugged (takes a lot to make me break out), with a good texture. The product went on nicely, left my skin smooth.
Maybe you need to have really bad skin, but to be honest, I didn’t notice anything different with this vs. any number of other products. My aunt, who does have some serious wrinkles, liked it, but she, too, didn’t get what the deal was with all the tubes (“Can’t they just put it in a jar?”)
The final step when you’re done, the mask, was a nice touch.
If you can get it on sale and you have serious texture or wrinkle issues, this might be a good try for you. It’s not my favorite skin care product, from the Olay line, and those looking for any over the counter “miracles” better keep on with the hunt.
