Softens As It Cleanses.

CETAPHIL® cleanser was formulated for dermatologists as a gentle, non-irritating cleanser for even the most sensitive skin. Unlike soap, CETAPHIL is completely non-alkaline, non-comedogenic, and fragrance free.  Soothes and softens as it cleanses, helping the skin retain needed moisture. Use for face, hands, and the entire body. Also an excellent cleanser for the delicate skin of babies.

I really liked how it made my skin feel soft without making it greasy. I liked the fact you could use it two ways depending on what results were desired. It’s fragrance free, which is important, and is very gentle to the skin. I would recommend this to others.

I like the way Cetaphil cleanses my skin. It does not smell perfumy or pepperminty, and does not take my breath away. It does not make my face itchy nor does it burn like some face cleansers. The manufacturer recommends either to wipe the cleanser off with a dry washcloth and leave a thin layer of Cetaphil on your face to moisturize it, or, to wash it off with water. I did not particularly care for the “”leaving a thin layer on my face.”" It felt pretty sticky and then dry like a masque. I did like the way it washed off my face right away with water. I think a lot of people with skin sensitivity would like this product!

It was very gentle, although I didn’t feel as though it cleaned my skin very well. When I tried to use it to remove eye makeup, it didn’t work, but it didn’t irritate my eyes, either. If I had sensitive skin, this product would be great. Since I don’t, I wouldn’t purchase this product, nor would I recommend it to a friend or family member.

Excellent for sensitive skin
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I started using Cetaphil products about 10 years ago. A friend told me about this miracle product she read about in a cosmetics and body care review book that women were buying in droves.

I have very fair, sensitive skin along with seborrheic dermatitis that will sometimes spread to my face if I don’t keep it under control. For the first 20 odd years of my life I had to switch cleansers and makeup products about once a year because they would begin to irritate my skin. Not so with Cetaphil. As I stated above, I’ve been using it going on 10 years now.

It is an incredibly gentle cleanser that I use morning and evening. Sometimes at the change of seasons I will need to use a witch hazel astringent with the cleanser because my face is oilier at those times of the year. Otherwise, I can use this product on its own. It is fragrance free and if I happen to be lax in controlling my seborrheic dermatitis and it spreads to my face, the Cetaphil does not irritate it at all.

Along with dermatologists, I highly recommend this product for those with sensitive skin.

Rating:4 out of 5 stars
The first few times I used the Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, I didn’t think I liked it because it didn’t lather. I felt like I was trying to wash my face with lotion instead of cleanser. However, I began to notice that my skin felt smoother and looked healthier after a few days. It didn’t make my face feel tight like other cleansers. I like the convenience of being able to use it with or without water. It cleaned well, even removing my mascara.

Great face cleanser
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I started using this around 10 years ago after reading about it in Paula Begoun’s cosmetic review books. Every so often I try other cleaners, but always go back to Cetaphil. Once or twice a week, I mix it with baking soda for a mild exfoliant. This is a great basic mild cleanser and very reasonably priced.

Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have very sensitive skin and I’m allergic to a lot of soaps, but I didn’t have any problem with Cetaphil. I used it several times a day, whenever my face didn’t feel clean, and I didn’t have any problems. Cetaphil is better than other facial cleansers because it made my skin look and feel clean, and didn’t dry it out. I highly recommend Cetaphil; however, look out for sales because the price is a little high.
