Acne scar home remedies are a great way to treat acne scars. Not only do they tend to be less expensive than over the counter products. They also tend to have less side effects. Plus, they can save you a ton of money if they help you avoid having to get laser acne scar removal. With these thoughts in mind, we have put together a list of a few acne scar home remedies that could be used immediately:

1. Lemon juice

Lemon juice is an excellent remedy for removing the dark acne scars. It lightens the skin and the acne scars. All you need to do is squeeze the lemon juice and then gently dab it on the scars with a cotton ball. Wait for sometime before washing it off with water. This is one of the better acne scar home remedies.

2. A paste of sandalwood and rose water

Sandal wood and rose water should be combined to make a paste. This paste should then be applied on the entire face as a face mask. The mask should be left on the skin for at least an hour. If possible, let the mask stay for overnight. It helps the skin to tighten and also gives a soothing effect to the skin.

3. Tomatoes are an excellent antioxidant

Tomatoes are rich in Vitamin A that hinders the overproduction of sebum that causes the acne. It's also a source of rich antioxidants that help the skin look younger by renewing and refreshing the skin. Acne scars are visibly reduced when a face mask made of tomatoes and cucumbers is applied. Grate and crush the tomatoes and the cucumber together and apply on face. This mask helps to tighten the pores and gives it a nice even. Cucumber juice can also be used for a face mask in treating the face acne.

These various acne scar home remedies will be effective for those that have mild to medium acne scars or acne. Please recognize that some remedies will work better for some people than others. Everyone has a different skin tone, pigment and skin composite. With this said, these acne scar home remedies are very popular and helped many people with their acne and acne scars.
